GSA Program

Global Sports Academy (GSA) is a sports Academy that focuses on international basketball players and prepares these players for their education and college readiness. GSA will provide a uniquely designed program to empower high school athletes to become elite competitors in college basketball. This uniquely blended talent development environment will benefit these players from across the world who wish to receive a high school education and training specifically tailored to the needs of an emerging, competitive athlete.

GSA will start in January 2024, in Oxford. N.C. Our facility is available to have room and board for 30 players. The city of Granville is a growing community and we will bring a whole new perspective to the surrounding areas. We will also look to recruit players from the local area to be a part of our academy. North Carolina has an outstanding population of talent in Granville County.

HOW WE ARE GOING TO DO THIS?

One of the main features at GSA is our ability to recruit players from international countries who want to continue their education and athletic abilities here in the United States. Our vast amount of international contact (France, Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, Nigeria, Ghana) is one of our specialties. Our goal is to give them exposure and lead them to get the best chance of getting into a university and the NBA.

Our coaching staff has developed ties with major scouting services, colleges, and universities around the country, and as a result, each player will receive top-notch exposure to colleges and universities. Our goal in the recruiting process is to find the “best fit” for each and every player attending GSA. After detailed meetings with each player and his family, GSA will formulate the best plan for the recruiting process and execute this plan throughout the year. Our staff works tirelessly to promote and market our players to create as many opportunities as possible to play at a university.

Our travel program will consist of a boys’ AAU basketball circuit. We will attend and host tournaments that will bring top teams from all over the United States. With the quality of players that we will bring in, coaches from all over will be interested in these players. GSA will bring in former NBA players and university coaches to assist with these players.

GSA is built for dedicated and passionate student-athletes. We provide the tools and resources for our student-athletes to achieve their goals in the classroom, in their sport, in college, and beyond. GSA tuition rates are based on the comprehensive nature of our programming and resources available to student-athletes. At this time, GSA Academy does not offer scholarships.
